Deborah Fisher, Esq.


Deborah Fisher is a senior associate with the firm, with a focus on complex civil litigation and transactional work, including real estate, utility, corporate, human resources, and procurement matters.  She has served as outside counsel to the Public Auditor of the Northern Mariana Islands, and has appeared before the District Court and Superior Court of the Northern Mariana Islands defending constitutional and environmental claims.  She has advised boards of directors; executive directors; and business people in the private sector for all manner of transactions and testimony, including appearances before the Northern Mariana Islands Legislature.  In her twenty years of experience, she also served as a law clerk for the Courts of New York State and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Ms. Fisher is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and studied abroad her junior year at the University College of North Wales, Bangor, in the United Kingdom.  She attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, where she served as a legal writing teaching assistant.  Ms. Fisher competed in the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C.; served as an Assistant Teams Editor on the Moot Court Honor Society where she attained membership in the Order of Barristers, and received the Jacob Burns Medal upon graduation.  In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. Fisher has been active as Treasurer and CLE Chair of the Northern Mariana Islands Bar Association.
